Not too long ago, LinkedIn acquired its 70 millionth member. Later this year, a Facebook-centric movie written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by David Fincher is due to come out. And a man's execution was even recently announced on Twitter. So social media is important, and CDC Software is recognizing that with a new CRM solution.
CDC Pivotal Social CRM 6.0 is, according to CDC, "a new application enabling integration with today's popular social media sites so enterprises can better identify qualified leads, gather sales intelligence through increased collaboration with customers, develop effective sales campaigns, help close more deals, and ultimately, improve customer service."
Jason Rushforth, the president of CDC Software's Front Office product line business, also promised that the solution will generate impressive results. "CDC Pivotal Social CRM will help businesses create a more collaborative online partnership with their customers which can help improve their overall business performance," he said in a statement.
Anyway, the social sites it can interface with include the big three - Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn - along with Google Blog Search and InsideView. The solution is supposed to provide a simplified view of information coming from various sources, and can identify the presence of relationships between existing and potential contacts.
Other features then include the option to manage events and link social media events (like tweets) to CRM actions.
This sounds like a fairly useful array of elements. CDC Pivotal Social CRM 6.0 is available starting today.
